As summer slowly winds down, Blue Cats is just getting started on its fall lineup. Blue Cats has booked all genres of acts and is ready to unleash them as students begin heading back to school.
Blue Cats has already started without some of us who missed the "incredible" show July 15, as the director of operations for Blue Cats, Lenore Kinder, described the concert.
Playing to a "super-packed" house, Jurassic 5 rocked Knoxville's world. This West Coast hip-hop band really made a name for themselves.
Kinder described the show as "the best one I have ever seen and I have been here for a long time."
Blue Cats is bringing out the big guns by booking the Gin Blossoms and 17th Floor. Be ready to rock on Aug. 17 as Blue Cats proudly presents the Gin Blossoms with opening act Michael Grubb. Get your tickets early for only $10, or you can buy them at the door for $12. The show starts rocking at 8 p.m. Keep your calendar open for Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. so you are sure to catch the 17th Floor show. Bring your student ID and get in for $6. Without a student ID, it is $8.
Just as all of the students get back into the groove of school again, Blue Cats plans to start the school year off with a bang. Blue Cats is calling it the "Back-to-School Bash." So as soon as you get your dorm room decorated, head over to Blue Cats and let 7 Dust rock you back into the swing of things. Doors open at 7 p.m. on Aug. 26, and tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.
Blue Cats never ceases to amaze us with great back-to-back shows. Come back and join Blue Cats for Jump, Little Children on Aug. 27. Tickets are $10 at the door, and doors open at 8 p.m. Ending the month of August, Breakfast Club will play on Aug. 29, with doors opening at 9 p.m. Tickets are $7 at the door and $5 with a student ID.
The 2-year-old club strives to bring "the best music to the city of Knoxville and cater to everyone's likes," Kinder said.
All of the concerts are for ages 18 and older.
