The Knoxville Opera's 25th anniversary season opener boasts Grammy winner Cheryl Studer tonight at 8 p.m. at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium.
The benefit show, Bel Canto to Broadway, will include selections from "Faust," "Tosca," "Carmen," "Les Miserables" and many others.
Studer, a UT School of Music graduate, has had an amazing career performing in the most prestigious opera houses around the world.
Having lived and performed in Europe for the past 25 years, Studer still feels a special connection with Tennessee. "It's fun to come back. I was at UT years ago when opera was born here in Knoxville. I feel like I've gone full-circle," Studer said.
Students get $10 discounted tickets for this performance.
