Knoxville Opera presents two productions at the Rossini Festival each year. This year a trilogy consisting of two operas and a play will be presented. This will be the first time that the entire trilogy, written by Beaumarchais, will be presented in East Tennessee.
The Marriage of Figaro
This is an especially wonderful and wildly popular opera by Mozart, which serves as the opening of the trilogy. "The Marriage of Figaro" is a play that deals with love's quirks and issues of class. Presented in Italian with English supertitles.

The Barber of Seville
This is Rossini's most famous opera. It will be performed by the Knoxville Opera Studio from the University of Tennessee School of Music. Presented in Italian with English supertitles.

The Guilty Mother
The conclusion of the trilogy. It will be presented by Knoxville Opera in conjunction with Clarence Brown Theatre and The Actor's Co-Op. Presented in English.
Tuesday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
