The following are the events planned for this week:


Penny wars are set to
begin in the Panhellenic Building.


UT's Greeks will enjoy a
barbecue dinner beginning at 5 p.m. at Fiji Island. Comedian Michael
"Blackjack" Wilson, who has opened for such comedians as Pauly Shore, Jerry
Seinfeld and Adam Sandler, is scheduled to entertain the crowd.

A Fiji Island clean-up
will be held immediately following dinner.


Children from the Boys'
and Girls' Clubs of Knoxville will attend a Kids Carnival at 4:30 p.m. at
Fiji Island. Sororities and fraternities, who have been paired up, will be
sponsoring booths in which the kids can participate in.

Strip are offering UT's Greeks a variety of discounts as part of Greek
Nite Out.


Greeks will recognize
UT's faculty and staff at a Faculty Appreciation Luncheon from 11:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m. in the Panhellenic Building.

A four-on-four basketball
tournament will be held on the court behind Lambda Chi Alpha and Sigma Chi

A joint IFC/Panhellenic
meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Panhellenic Building. Sherry Riley, a
specialist in the UT Center for Telecommunications and Video, will be the
featured speaker. Riley teaches various classes on relationship violence in
the community.


The finalists in the
four-on-four basketball tournament will compete beginning at 4 p.m. on the
court behind Lambda Chi and Sigma Chi houses.


Greeks will participate
in a javelin throw, an eating contest, a tug-of-war contest, a discus
competition, a chariot race and "The Secret Greek Game" as part of the
Greek Olympics. The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. behind the Aquatic
Center at the Old Bubble Site.
