The International Student Council will hold its annual elections this week

for students interested in insuring international students are well-represented

on campus.

The council will hold elections Thursday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday

from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The ISC is the umbrella organization representing the 15 international

groups on campus. These groups consist of members of different countries

throughout the world.

Candidates for this year's election are the following: president, Amancio

Alicante; vice president, Carlos Pinilla and Carl Hognefelt; secretary,

Ginger Azpurua, Tomoko Nishida and Fernanda Ito; and witnesses, Fernando

Parrado, and Crispin Davis.

"Since the council represents all international students, we hope

they will come out and show support," said Danny Stanik, ISC co-election

commissioner. "The more people who vote, the stronger our voice will

be on campus."

He, along with his co-commissioner, Maria Parodi, encourage all international

students to come out and vote.
