UTK's Center for International Education is offering an opportunity Tuesday
for students to learn more about what is going on in Yugoslavia.
The Center for International Education will hold an informal meeting
entitled "The Current Crisis in Yugoslavia: What's Going On?" at noon
Tuesday in the International House Great Room.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will provide information
and background on recent events in Yugoslavia.
David Johnson, a professor in the UT Graduate School of Planning, will be
giving a presentation at the event. Johnson was recently in the area and
can talk about what he has seen.
Joe Flory, coordinator of special projects at the Center for International
Education, said the event will be informative for people who don't
understand the events taking place in the region.
"I think knowing about the history of these regions and the history of
these cultures is important," Flory said.
