Student Health Service will host the Wellness Lunch and Learn Series with

monthly programs throughout the school year for students to use their lunch

break as a time to learn about certain wellness issues.

The first program takes place on Wednesday from 12:05 p.m.-1 p.m. in room

237 of the UC. All the programs will take place at the same time and place,

and will be on the second Wednesday of each month beginning in

October.

Morrill Hall Director Laura McCollough will present the first topic,

"Priorities of Life," which will teach students about the importance of

setting priorities.

Students may find this program particularly beneficial. "A student may say

he is going to study more, but ends up spending more time on his social

life," said Rosa Thomas, wellness coordinator for Student Health

Service.

Thomas put together the Wellness Lunch and Learn Series in conjunction with

Health Services. The series has been done in past years under the name of

Brown Bag Lunch Series, Thomas said.

"We try and make it (the Lunch and Learn Series) available so students can

use lunch to learn some valuable information," Thomas said.

Next month, the series will continue with a program called "Breast Cancer

Awareness and Risk Assessment" by the Thompson Cancer Survival Center.
