@Normal:The University of Tennessee is hosting a program at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, in Thompson-Boling Arena to reflect on this week's tragic terrorist attack.
UT Provost Loren Crabtree said the event titled "Reflections on September 11" is open to everyone at UT and in the Knoxville community.
"This gathering simply offers our campus and the Knoxville community an opportunity to reflect on what has happened, rise above it and look to the future."
The program will include music performed by students and faculty from UT Music Department, readings from sacred texts and remarks from UT and local officials.
Scheduled speakers include UT Acting President Eli Fly, Crabtree, UT Student Government Association President Bradford Bricken, UT faculty and a representative from the Knoxville Mayor's office.
