A subcommittee of The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees' Presidential Search Committee has reviewed proposals from six possible search firms to aid the university in the search for a new president following the resignation of former UT President John W. Shumaker.
The committee has voted to invite three of the six firms for interviews before the full committee on Dec. 11. Finalists include A.T. Kerney, Atlanta, Baker-Parker Inc., Atlanta, and The Washington Advisory Group, Washington, D.C.
The committee will also review the cost estimates from the separate firms and is expected to recommend its choice to the full board for consideration on Dec. 12, the day following the initial interviews.
The university did not receive a formal bid from former search firm Korn/Ferry International which brought Shumaker to the university in 2001.
