GATLINBURG (AP) - Police issued a warrant on Thursday for the arrest of the man they say stabbed a restaurant owner in her kitchen and stole her sport utility vehicle.
Anthony Quinn Guidry is wanted for the murder of Kathleen Miller, whose body was found Monday by her son and daughter in Jazzbeaux's, a Cajun-themed restaurant. Guidry, a restaurant employee, was staying at Miller's home.
Miller's daughter told authorities she last saw her mother leaving home with Guidry in her gold Lincoln Navigator on Sunday, District Attorney General Al Schmutzer Jr. said. Neither Miller nor her vehicle with Louisiana license plates have been seen since.
Guidry's former wife, Gloria Istre, of Sulphur, La., told police on Tuesday Guidry called her earlier in the week and said he had "cut up his boss" and stolen her car, Schmutzer said.
