Pratibha A. Dabholkar of UT's College of Business Administration and her husband, Earl J. Hess, lost their daughter Julie to leukemia and have found a way to deal with their grief and help others by publishing two literary fiction books.
"Time After Time" and "Dreamer" tap into the current interest in dream analysis, lucid dreaming, past life studies and a heightened awareness of spirituality to discuss the loss of a loved one through a story-telling format.
Dabholkar and Hess said they were deeply shocked when their daughter was suddenly diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia only a semester before her graduation. They said the books offer solace and comfort to those who are bereaved and also engage readers who want to broaden their understanding of eternal love and soul communications.
