ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Fans who showed up for the Simon & Garfunkel concert at Anaheim's Arrowhead Pond heard nothing but the sounds of silence after Paul Simon called in sick.
The show has been rescheduled for Nov. 23, and tickets for Friday night's show will be honored, said Vanessa Kromer of Nederlander Concerts.
Simon, 62, had planned to perform despite a bad cold, but realized during the sound check that he wouldn't be able to do a decent show.
"Not wanting to deliver a subpar performance, the duo decided to postpone the show," Kromer said.
The duo's "Old Friends" tour is their first since 1982-83.
