Jodi Magness, a distinguished professor for teaching excellence in early Judaism at the University of North Carolina, is coming over the mountains to speak in Knoxville tonight.
Magness is speaking on The Archaeology of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Her lecture will start at 7 p.m. and will be held in the auditorium at the Knoxville Museum of Art.
Magness has been researching topics similar to these for several years including over 20 excavations in Israel and Greece.
The event is free and is open to the public.
