Fans traveling to the Auburn game can avoid traffic while saving money.
In Knoxville, fans have become accustomed to parking off campus and walking or riding a shuttle. At the University of Auburn, this concept is fairly new.
Before the season began, Auburn fans learned that campus parking on game days would cost them $10. Although free spaces on the grass are available, only the early birds find those open.
However, the late arrivers have a number of options at their disposal in order to save money.
The first free parking access point occurs at exit 57, East Glenn Avenue. The lots on this street are adjacent to retail stores and food, making tailgating easier.
The next point of free parking occurs at exit 51. Although these lots are larger to accommodate more fans, food and shopping isn't readily available.
From these free lots, the stadium is at most 3 miles away. Free shuttles will pick up from the community lots beginning four hours prior to kickoff.
