KNOXVILLE (AP) - A doctor accused of providing drugs to patients and staff for sex, taking nude photographs of them and prescribing controlled substances for himself is seeking reconsideration of his license suspension.
Dr. Richard Bruce Heintz, 56, of Fountain City, will meet Thursday with three members of the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners, said Diane Denton, a spokeswoman with the Tennessee Department of Health. It will be the first time Heintz has spoken to the medical board in Nashville.
The meeting will serve as a preliminary hearing before the full medical board hears Heintz's case and decide if he will be reinstated to practice medicine in Tennessee.
