CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky., has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a civilian.
Michael Joseph Hulett, 19, assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, was charged Sunday with criminal homicide in the killing of Fahmee A. Donahue in Clarksville.
Hulett's motive and relationship to Donahue weren't immediately clear. Investigators didn't have Donahue's age.
Clarksville police responded Saturday to a report of a shot fired at the Walnut Village Apartments. Police found Donahue on the bed in his apartment, dead of an apparent gunshot to the head. Investigators said the two had argued before the shot was fired.
Hulett ran from the apartment after the shot was fired and apparently left the front door open, witnesses told police.
Hulett was taken into custody at Fort Campbell and turned over to Clarksville police.
He was being held without bail pending a hearing in the case.
