FLINT, Mich. (AP) Police told the family of an elderly woman missing since Christmas Eve that her body likely was found.
A body fitting the description of Ruby Bourne, 72, was found Saturday afternoon in a wooded area about six miles from her apartment by a man who takes his hunting dogs to train in the area.
Bourne lived in Memphis, Tenn. before moving to Flint four years ago.
Police said the clothing appeared to match what Bourne, an Alzheimer's patient, was wearing when last seen on surveillance video leaving senior citizen's complex about 4 p.m. Dec. 24. Flint Police Sgt. Allen Edward said the body likely had been in the woods for at least two weeks.
There's no indications whatsoever of any foul play, Edwards told The Flint Journal for a Sunday story.
Edwards said the body would not officially be identified until Monday or Tuesday, but Bourne's family was notified Saturday.
