Power outages hit the North side of campus Sunday night forcing students out of the John C. Hodges Library and more than a handful of residence halls.
University officials said they did not yet know the outage’s cause, as of deadline.
Power went out at about 9 p.m., affecting the library, the White Avenue Parking Garage, the Pedestrian Mall area, and Clement, Greve, Henson, Hess, Massey, Melrose and Strong halls.
As of 11:30 p.m., university officials had not evacuated dormitory residents, with the expectation that power would return shortly thereafter to those buildings, according to UT Media Relations.
