The Lady Vols tennis team improved to 3-0 this season versus the Big Ten

conference following a 5-2 victory over No. 38 Indiana on Sunday in

Bloomington, Ind.

Following the decision, the Lady Vols are now 8-5 overall while the

Hoosiers fall to 7-2.

The Lady Vols won the doubles points from Indiana after netting victories

at the first and third doubles positions. At No. 1, the tandem of freshman

Vilmarie Castellvi and sophomore Alison Ojeda garnered an upset of the

Hoosier's 39th-rated duo of Jessica Anderson and Kelly Blanch, 8-6.

Meanwhile, Tennessee's pair of freshman Crystal Cleveland and sophomore

Meiling Parks edged out Amanda Field and Jennifer Hsia, 9-8, at the third

doubles position.

Sophomore Angnes Wiski led the Lady Vols' singles charge as she netted a

6-4 , 3-6, 1-0 (10-4) decision over J.J. Levins at No. 3 singles. At No. 5,

senior Candy Reid gained her third victory in her last four matches with a

7-6, 6-2 win over Becky Wallihan. Also netting decisions for the Tennessee

were Ojeda and Cleveland at the first and sixth holes, respectively.
