Ronald Dupree - Louisiana State University
Guard/Forward - Sophomore - 6-6 - Biloxi, Miss.
One of the bright spots for the only team to finish sub-.500 in the SEC, Dupree scored an SEC-leading 17.3 points per game. He was also second in conference rebounding with 8.9 boards a game.
D.A. Layne - University of Georgia
Guard - Junior - 6-0 - Marietta, Ga.
Layne led Georgia to a quick start in conference, scoring 16.9 points a game and dishing out 3.6 assists a contest.
SEC Men's Player of the Year - Tayshaun Prince, Kentucky
SEC Men's Freshman of the Year - Justin Reed, Mississippi
The 6-foot-8 Reed stepped on to the scene as swingman for the Rebels and excelled, scoring 11.4 points per game and 5.7 rebounds a game.
SEC Men's Coach of the Year - Rod Barnes, Mississippi
Barnes engineered the SEC's surprise story of the year. The Rebels, just 5-11 in the SEC last season, turned that number around to win the West and go 11-5 in conference.
