The Tennessee lacrosse club rebounded from two consecutive home losses to take two wins on the road last weekend, downing Georgia Tech, 14-4, and Florida State, 14-6.
The two wins in Atlanta up the Vols' record to 8-2 and 6-1 in Southeastern Lacrosse Conference play. Both FSU and Georgia Tech dropped to 2-4 after the weekend.
The team was recently polled No. 8 in the latest United States Lacrosse Intercollegiate Association poll, down two from its preseason ranking.

Rallying from a 12-3 first half deficit, the UT men's rugby club came back to down the Radford Highlanders last weekend, 29-15.
Radford, a Division II National Plate finalist, challenged the Vols from start to finish, starting off fierce in a multiple phase attack from the opening kick.
Tennessee finally got untracked after Mike Scoutten stole a RU pass and moved the ball to Grant Edwards, who left it for a Rob Barkman weaving touchdown. After a Scott Jones conversion, UT trailed 10-12 at the half.
Tennessee continued the comeback to open the second half, scoring on four Jones penalty kicks to get out to a 22-15 lead. A touchdown from Jones and the win was sealed.
The Vols now prepare for a South quarterfinal matchup with the two-seed from the North Carolina union, either Appalachian State or UNC-Chapel Hill. The teams will meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Tyson Park.
