Oklahoma (8-6-5) - The Sooners make their NCAA tournament debut with tonight's contest against UT. Oklahoma is 1-3 overall in postseason play in the history of the program. The latest loss came was a 1-0 defeat to No. 21 Kansas in the Big 12 quarterfinals. Goalkeeper Catherine Wade is a standout for the Sooners, garnering Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks to close out September. This marks the first time Tennessee and Oklahoma have met on the soccer field.
Georgia (12-9) -The Bulldogs head into Knoxville still stinging from a 4-1 loss to Florida in the semifinals of last weekend's SEC Tournament. In opening round action against second-seeded Auburn, the Bulldogs scored an upset, keyed by an overtime goal from Kelly Whitaker. UGA was defeated by Tennessee in a 1-0 regular season finale that saw UT clinch its first SEC regular season title. This marks Georgia's fourth trip to the NCAA tournament. Against nine ranked opponents this season, the Bulldogs hold a 3-6 record.
Clemson (11-6-2) - Clemson has fielded a soccer team since 1994 and has been to the NCAA tournament in each of those years. This season marks the program's 10th appearance in the postseason. The Tigers are led in scoring by freshman Courtney Foster, who has 13 goals and five assists for the season. Clemson heads to town after a 2-1 defeat by Maryland in the opening round of ACC tournament action last weekend.
