Tennessee diver Lauryn McCalley earned one of 15 spots on the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, released Thursday. Entering her senior year, she has now garnered three Academic All-America honors.
The microbiology major, who minors in business, boasts a 3.93 grade point average and is a five-time All-American. In addition to diving and studying, McCalley served as president of UT's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee last year.
The Moultrie, Ga., native received the Marine Corps Collegiate Athletic Leadership Award because of her impact on her university over the past year.
After winning the NCAA Zone B Three-Meter Championship last season, McCalley has now captured 10 individual event titles over her three-year career at UT.
