Tennessee's men's tennis team returns to its home court this weekend. The No. 21-ranked Volunteers play host to SEC opponents South Carolina Friday and No. 9 Florida Sunday.
Tennessee (9-4, 2-2 SEC) fared well during its recent streak of six straight away matches, going 4-2 and posting two SEC road wins. With seven regular-season dual matches remaining, the Vols have already equaled their win total from a season ago.
Earlier this week, UT returned to the ITA top 25 following a 13-month hiatus.
This weekend's matches mark the beginning of a five-match homestand for the Vols.
Tennessee welcomes unranked South Carolina (11-6, 0-4 SEC) Friday for a 5 p.m. match under the lights at Varsity Courts. After opening the season with 10 consecutive victories, the Gamecocks have lost six of their last seven dual matches and dropped out of the ITA rankings.
The Gamecocks won last year's meeting 4-2 in Columbia, S.C.
When highly ranked Florida (10-4, 3-1 SEC) visits Sunday, the Vols will be looking to post their second home win of the season over a top-10 opponent.
Florida has won its last three SEC contests after losing its league opener at Vanderbilt.
