Tennessee freshman outfielder Kentrail Davis has been named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Davis is the 34th UT baseball player to earn a level of All-America recognition.
Earlier this postseason, Davis was named a second team All-SEC selection and a first team freshman All-SEC selection. Davis started 53 games this season for the Vols, leading the team in batting average (.330), home runs (13) and RBIs (44).
Davis and fellow freshman Bryan Mogado will participate in tryouts for the 2008 US National team later this month.
