Tennessee assistant men’s golf coach Bryce Wallor has accepted a position at the University of Central Florida as the school’s head golf coach.
Wallor has served as an assistant coach at Tennessee for five seasons under head coach Jim Kelson. Kelson promoted Wallor to Tennessee’s director of instructions/player development in July 2008.
“I am extremely excited and honored that UCF has selected me as the head men’s golf coach,” Wallor said in a press release. “I look forward to adding to the great traditions of the program.”
In Wallor’s five seasons at Tennessee, the Vols garnered eight tournament championships, including the SEC title in 2007. The Vols finished 2009 ranked 11th in the nation while two golfers - David Holmes and Chris Paisley - earned PING All-America honors. Five UT golfers recieved All-America honors under Wallor’s watch.
